Two armed and hooded men made off with an undisclosed amount of cash in a hold-up in a Zejtun shop on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred in Bishop Galea Street at around 8pm.

The man, armed with knives, entered the shop and demanded money from the cashiers, two women aged 40 and 25.

They then made off with the cash.

Magistrate Elaine Mercieca is leading an inquiry.
