A bomb threat has been made at Smart City, The Malta Independent can confirm.

A police spokesperson told this newsroom that a bomb threat was made to offices at Smart City at around 10:20am.

TVM are reporting that the offices which have been threatened are those of the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).

Police said that the Explosives & Ordinances Unit within the Armed Forces of Malta were notified immediately and said that they are currently on site combing the area for anything suspicious.

People in the area meanwhile have been evacuated while the operation is on going.
