A biker was grievously injured in a crash with a car in Gozo this morning, the police said.

The accident took place in Frangisk Portelli Street, Gharb, at 7am.

It involved a Yamaha bike and a Toyota Dyna, driven by a 64-year-old man of Gharb.

The biker, a Polish 29-year-old man resident in Xewkija, was taken to Gozo Hospital for treatment.
