A 65-year-old man has become the latest person to die while positive for Covid-19, as health authorities reported 175 new cases of the virus on Monday.

236 people have recovered from the virus, taking the number of active cases down to 2,331.

90 patients are currently being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, with five of those receiving treatment in intensive care.

1,222,529 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 334,448 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 69,113 cases of the virus. 65,776 of those have recovered, while 570 have died.
