Covid-19: Four more people die, 118 new cases registered

Four people died while positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, the health authorities said.

Three were men, who were aged 62, 74 and 82 and one was a woman aged 92. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic has now risen to 576.

118 new Covid-19 cases were registered, while 270 people recovered from the virus. The number of active cases stands at 1,941.

Currently, 70 people with Covid are at Mater Dei Hospital, four of whom are in the ITU.

Malta has had 69,589 cases of the virus so far. 66,636 of those have recovered.

1,226,227 vaccine doses have been administered so far. Of these, 336,317 were booster doses.
