‘Government is stealing money from the public’: PN says PL has no economic credibility

Saturday, 12 February 2022, 12:50 Last update: about 3 years ago

The Nationalist Party has said that the government confirmed that it is deliberately stealing money from the public through taxes.

In a press statement published on Saturday, the PN said that Finance Minister Clyde Caruana confirmed this on the spot on social media earlier this morning.

The PN claimed that the Labour Party organised a news conference where which its members spent an hour repeating outdated accusations, rather than explaining why the people have been robbed of their income tax for years.

“As was done with regard to the theft of electricity and water bills, the government hid and stole. However, now that he has been caught, he is coming out against the Opposition,” the PN said.

The party also highlighted that Prime Minister Robert Abela received at least €28,000 a month.

“The party that placed Malta on the FATF grey listing and sky-rocketed this country’s debt, has no credibility in the economy.

Robert Abela who was given everything on a silver platter is completely cut off from the public,” the PN said.
