Ninety-six new Covid-19 cases have been reported, with one more death, health authorities said in their daily update.

The latest victim is a 65-year-old man, with the number of deaths now reaching 602.

Thirty-four people are in hospital with the virus, with three of them in intensive care.

Ninety-five people have recovered from the virsu, with the number of active cases now at 725.

In all, 1,240,944 vaccination doses have been administered, of which 342,310 are booster doses.

Malta has had 71,112 cases of Covid-19.  69,374 of those have recovered.
