Grech proposes day-long electoral campaign pause to march for peace in Ukraine

Opposition Leader Bernard Grech has called on all political parties to join him in a peace march in solidarity with Ukraine and to pause the electoral campaign for one day.

Grech made the proposal during his closing remarks of the first General Election debate, held at the University of Malta.

Grech said: "On Saturday let's forget about the electoral campaign and politics for a day and march in solidarity with Ukraine. This is the only way to send a message to all Ukrainians that Malta is there for them at a humanitarian level."

Speaking right after Grech, Prime Minister Robert Abela did not address this proposal during his closing remarks.
