A new public recreational space in Qormi has been announced by Economy Minister Silvio Schembri in the presence President Emeritus Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
The project will be located in Maempel Square.
Schembri explained how this area will be revitalized in order to be enjoyed by residents.
It has been designed in conjunction with the President Emeritus and The Foundation for Wellbeing to include, among others, slides for people with special abilities.
The investment is of €1.2 Million.
The project will be spread over 3400 square metres of land.
Trees will be kept in their original state and more trees will be planted.
There will be spaces intended for activities for primary school children in Qormi.
INDIS Malta will be renovating the public garden as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
