Emma Muscat will be representing Malta with a new song title ‘I Am What I Am’ in the 2022 Eurovision set to take place in Italy in a couple of months.
Muscat was initially going to represent Malta with a song titled ‘Out of Sight’, with which she won the Malta Eurovision Song Contest last month.
However, Malta’s low ranking with bookmakers and a lukewarm reception to the song internationally prompted rumours that the song would be swapped at the last minute in an effort to capitalise on Muscat’s star talents.
In fact, the switch was announced on TVAM on the state broadcaster, which coordinates Malta’s participation in the Eurovision, on Monday morning.
