The chemical tanker which was stricken by heavy winds over the weekend has been towed to a bay of safe shelter.
The 209-metre Chem P lost control amid gale force winds and was drifting inland towards the Bahar ic-Caghaq coast before it was stopped in its tracks and brought under control by local tug boat crews.
The tanker was towed away from the area to a safe shelter spot close to Anchor Bay by the tugboats RR Spinola and St. Elmo.
