Former FIAU official Jonathan Ferris has won €3,000 in a case against the Managing Editor of MaltaToday Saviour Balzan.
The case is over a video blog five years ago. Ferris won €3,000 in libel damages.
In the blog, Balzan drew comparisons between Ferris' work when he was still in the police force investigating the oil procurement scandal to that of fictional detective Inspector Clouseau.
Balzan also criticised Ferris for boasting of having prosecuted his own cousin, saying he should have been precluded from doing so and that in any case Ferris' cousin was found not guilty.
