375 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities on Wednesday as hospitalisations jumped upwards in a single day.

127 people have recovered from the virus, meaning that the number of active cases has continued to rise, this time reaching 2,969.

The number of patients at Mater Dei Hospital has increased by 22, now reaching 63.  However, only one of those is in intensive care.

1,253,673 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 348,922 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 75,359 cases of the virus. 71,844 of those have recovered, while 624 have died.
