Opposition Leader Bernard Grech said that the PN’s costings are detailed, whilst Prime Minister Robert Abela only provided a number for his electoral programme, that of €3.3 billion, he said, addressing a press conference in Valletta.

Asked about if the fact that the PN published its costings late into the electoral campaign affected the early voting, as Abela has claimed. He gave a vague answer, saying that Abela gave no projections of how much wealth will be generated or how many jobs will be created.

“All Abela gave us is a price tag,” Grech said. Meanwhile, the PN has a clear and detailed costings document which the people and journalists can read and criticise.

Asked about if he thinks the election is now flawed, following the court’s ruling against the PN with regards to ineligible prisoners being allowed to vote, Grech said that he believes that there were irregularities, which led to the PN opening the case in the first place.

He said that however, he respects the court’s decision to reject the request for a prison vote re-run.
