603 new Covid-19 cases were reported by health authorities on Tuesday, as daily case numbers exploded upwards.

The cases were not formally reported as no Health Ministry has been formed, but are available through a health authority database.

One Covid-19 case has also passed away, while 193 cases have been registered as recovered.

This means that Malta has 4,685 active cases of the virus.

1,255,851 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 350,176 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 78,062 cases of Covid-19 so far.  72,346 of those have recovered, while 635 have died.
