Wednesday, 30 March 2022, 12:56 Last update: about 3 years ago

717 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported by health authorities, as three more patients have died while positive for the virus.

Case numbers are on the up, and Malta now has 5,183 active cases of the virus after 216 new recoveries were reported.

The cases were not formally reported as no Health Ministry has been formed, but are available through a health authority database. It is the third day in a row that the case numbers have not been issued officially.

Like on Monday and Tuesday, no details were given about the deaths or about hospitalisations because the dataset does not contain such information.

A total of 1,256,198 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 350,384 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 78,779 cases of the virus.  72,562 of those have recovered, while 638 have died.
