Friday, 1 April 2022, 12:38 Last update: about 3 years ago

659 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities on Friday, with no new deaths reported as a result of the virus once again.

The data has been lifted from an open database administered by Malta’s Covid-19 response team, after the Health Ministry has ceased to issue the daily updates to social media itself.

329 people meanwhile have recovered from the virus, taking the number of active cases up to 5,970.

No details on the current situation inside Malta’s hospitals can be given because such data is not included in the open dataset.

1,256,770 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 350,709 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 80,198 cases of the virus. 73,194 of those have recovered, while 638 have died.
