Health authorities order recalls of more Kinder products due to possible Salmonella contamination

Malta’s health authorities have ordered the recall of more Kinder products due to their possible contamination with Salmonella.

This comes after a Kinder factory in Belgium was closed because of Salmonella contamination in the products.  Some 140 people, the majority of whom are children under the age of 10, have been affected by Salmonella in eight European countries.

The products which have been recalled are the 20g Kinder Surprise, the Kinder Surprise 20g three-paco, the 100g Kinder Sorpresa Maxi “Puffi” and “Miraculous”, the 120g Kinder Sorpresda Pulcini, the 100g Kinder Surprise, the 75g Kinder Mini Eggs, the 150g Kinder Egg Hunt, and the 70g, 200g, ad 320g Kinder Schoko-Bons.

These must all be recalled irrespective of their expiration date.

Authorities have also recalled the 46g Schoko-Bons up till lot L098L, and the 125g Schoko-Bonos of the following lots: L288, L291, L293, L301,L302, L306, L307, L310, L312, L313, L316, L319, L320, L321, L326, L327, L328, L329, L334, L337, L338, L341, L347, L348, L349, L351, L352, L356, L005, L006, L028, L029.
