Robert Cutajar has been appointed as the PN’s Parliamentary Group secretary, while the same parliamentary group has appointed 13 MPs to serve in the party’s executive. 

In a meeting between Nationalist Party Members of Parliament, a decision was taken and Robert Cutajar was chosen as the secretary of the Parliamentary Group: a role which was previously occupied by Karol Aquilina. 

In the same meeting, PN also chose the 13 MP’s who will represent the parliamentary group in the party’s Executive Committee. 

These are Darren Carabott, Jerome Caruana Cilia, Julie Zahra, Janice Chetcuti, Ian Vassallo, Ivan Castillo, Ryan Callus, Alex Borg, Rebekah Cilia, Karol Aquilina, Paula Mifsud Bonnici, Ivan Bartolo, Charles Azzopardi and Graziella Galea. 

Charles Azzopardi and Graziella Galea will be splitting their term on the executive because they got the same amount of votes. 

Eight out of the 13 are new MPs, elected for the first time in 2022, with the exceptions being Karol Aquilina, Ryan Callus, Ivan Bartolo, Graziella Galea, and Paula Mifsud Bonnici. 

The internal party process will now continue, with a PN Executive Committee meeting taking place which will then call a party General Council later this month.
