Andy Ellul has been appointed as the Labour Party’s parliamentary whip, replacing Glenn Bedingfield.
The party announced the news in a statement on Thursday following a parliamentary group meeting.
Bedingfield, who was re-elected to Parliament following a casual election on the second district, served as the PL’s Whip during the previous legislature.
Ellul was elected during the election having been co-opted to Parliament some months prior.
Naomi Cachia, who made it into Parliament through the gender quota mechanism, will serve as the Assistant Whip of the PL’s Parliamentary Group.
