More than €3.1 million was collected for the Puttinu Cares organisation in a television marathon held on Good Friday.
The money - €3,133,430 – will go for the purchase of a building in central London to accommodate Maltese patients who need medical treatment in the UK.
The building will be named after Dr Victor Calvagna, co-founder of Puttinu Cares, who died earlier this year after being hit by a car.
