A man was grievously injured on Friday morning in a fight in Siggiewi, the police said.

The incident involved a man aged 59 of Tarxien, and two others aged 34 and 43, both of Siggiewi.

The man from Tarxien suffered grievous injuries in the fight, and was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.

The two other men suffered slight injuries and were treated in a health centre. They are being held by the police for questioning.

The fight took place at 9am in Dun Anton Vella Street.
