A man was grievously injured after he was hit by a car in Mosta on Saturday.

The police said the accident took place in Naggar Street at 7.30am.

The man, a 63-year0old Mosta resident, was hit by a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 35-year-old man of Mtarfa.

The pedestrian was taken to Mater Dei Hospital with grievous injuries.
