A man was tied up by three robbers who made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from his garage in Birkirkara on Saturday morning.

The police said that the robbery took place at around 7am in Karm Zerafa Street.

Three hooded and armed men entered the garage, tied up the man, aged 53, and made off with the cash.

The victim needed to be treated for shock.

The police have mounted a search for the aggressors.

Magistrate Astrid May Grima is leading an inquiry.
