An elderly man was seriously injured in a fall in a San Gwann residence, the police said.
The accident took place in Birkirkara Road on Monday at 4.20pm.
The man, aged 82, fell while he was feeding some animals.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Magistrate Elaine Mercieca is leading an inquiry.
