A motorcyclist was grievously injured in a traffic accident in Ghaxaq on Thursday evening, the police said Friday.

The accident took place in Dawret Hal Ghaxaq at 9.30pm.

It involved a biker, a 46-year-old Zabbar woman who was riding a Kymco Agility, and a Mazda CX-3 driven by a 47-year-old man resident in Ghaxaq.

The woman was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
