Jesmond Muscat has been appointed CEO of the Buildings and Construction Authority.
He succeeds Karl Azzopardi, whose term expired, the government said in a statement.
Public Works Minister Sefan Zrinzo Azzopardi congratulated Azzopardi for his appointment.
Muscat has extensive experience in planning and construction both in Malta and abroad, the government said.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Science and environmental Planning in Birmingham and has worked for a number of years in various sections of the Planning Authority.
Muscat was also a vital player in the strategic planning of major projects, worked in the housing sector and was recently Deputy Chief Officer at Transport Malta.
