The number of Covid-19 active cases went up again as 255 new patients were registered, figures released by the health authorities said.

Active cases now total 2,164, climbing up by more than 150 in one day as the number of recoveries was low.

There were no deaths reported, leaving the total at 728.

So far, 97,018 cases have been recorded in Malta, with 93,730 persons who recovered.

The Health Ministry has stopped publishing daily bulletins on social media which show details about the pandemic in Malta.

Data is still being published by the Health Ministry’s COVID-19 Public Health Response Team on an open source database on the platform GitHub, although certain details such as the number of positive Covid-19 cases in hospital and the details about people who had died are not included in the dataset.
