A teenager was critically hurt on Saturday morning when he fell five storeys, the police said.
The accident happened in a construction site in Ramla Street, Mellieha, at 2.30am.
The police said that two teenagers from Austria, aged 18 and 19, had entered the site.
When they were on the roof, the 19-year-old fell into a shaft, a height of five storeys.
He was given first assistance before being taken to Mater Dei Hospital with critical injuries.
Magistrate Charmaine Galea is leading an inquiry.
