Bartolo said Malta has also recently showed what it has to offer in terms of tourism during an event in Hungary.

During this meeting, several tourism operators expressed their interest in Malta, he said.

Bartolo said the Hungarian government has chosen Malta as one of the destinations for English language students.

Answering a question by PL MP Katya De Giovanni, Bartolo said that the ministry is looking at new and innovative ways to advertise Malta as a tourist destination.

Bartolo said that the MTA has reached an agreement with the EOLO-KOMETA cycling team, which has very recently also participated in the 2022 Giro d’Italia.

He said that Malta will be advertised wherever the team goes to compete, and that it has already been proven to be a successful plan as in the Giro d’Italia the advertisement reached millions of spectators.
