A motorcyclist was hospitalised after he was involved in a traffic accident in Gozo on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident took place at 1:45pm in Triq San Anard in Rabat, Gozo.

Police said that an accident occurred between a Citroen Berlingo being driven by a 65-year-old from Fontana and a Honda motorcycle being ridden by a 29-year-old Albanian man who lives in Rabat, Gozo.

The motorcyclist was given medical assistance and take to Gozo General Hospital, where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
