Health Minister Chris Fearne acknowledged an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases but “we are living a normal life without endangering public health.”
Answering questions from the media, Fearne said that although the number of active cases has risen in the past weeks, there is only one person in intensive care.
This makes it clear that the vaccination programme has had a positive impact, Fearne said, urging people over 65 to take the second booster dose.
Anyone who has not taken the opportunity is receiving a second call to take the second booster shot, he said.
