A Turkish worker was crushed to death on Saturday after items being lifted by a tower crane fell on him at a construction site in Ħal Far.
Police said the man was operating the crane when the items fell on him. The accident happened at around 1.15pm.
The worker was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police officers, Civil Protection Department personnel and emergency services were on site.
Magistrate Joe Mifsud is conducting an inquiry into the accident.
