Man injured as two motorcycles collide in Gozo

A motorcyclist was injured in a traffic accident on Gozo on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said that the accident happened between two motorcycles – a Piaggio Vespa GTS and a Honda Hornet 600 at around 3:15pm in Triq il-Kapuccini in Rabat, Gozo.

Police said that as a result of the collision, the rider of the Piaggio, who was a 34-year-old man from Zebbug, Gozo, fell.  He was taken to Gozo General Hospital for treatment, where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

The rider of the Honda, a 54-year-old Italian man who lives in Rabat, Gozo, was not injured.

Police investigations are ongoing.
