Two men and a woman were arrested in connection with an arson attempt on a boat, the police said.

The incident happened on 29 July at 1am.

The police and the Civil Protection Department had been called to intervene after a burning object was thrown onto a boat that was berthed at Sliema.

A fire broke out and this was put out by people in the vicinity.

The police investigations led to the arrest of the three people. No further details were made available by the police.
