€4,600 in donations has already been collected in the fundraiser set up for the repatriation of Kristina Zivanovic's body.

Zivanovic was the 23-year-old Serbian woman who was involved in a bus traffic accident in Birkirkara last Wednesday. She was rushed to hospital by ambulance, where she passed away soon after.

Zivanovic's family moved to Malta 14 years ago from Serbia, seeking job opportunities and a better life in Malta.

Launched by a colleague of Zivanovic's mother, Ashish Lama said that her mother is "truly devastated and is unable to comprehend the absence of such a young and loving daughter."

The funds collected will help in Zivanovic's body repatriation and other legal expenses.

30% of the goal for the campaign has been reached at the time of writing, with €4,600 raised out of a €15,000 goal. 201 donors have made donations thus far.
