Four people grievously injured in four accidents

Four separate traffic accidents have left four people with grievous injuries, several police statements show.

At 6.30pm on Saturday evening, a traffic accident occurred on Vjal l-Isadium Nazzjonali in Attard. A bicycle ridden by a 47-year-old from Attard and a Ford Escort being driven by a 60-year-old man collided. The cyclist was taken to Mater Dei Hospital and suffered grievous injuries.

At 9pm on Saturday, a motorcycle being ridden by a 35-year-old man from Qormi and a Volkswagen driven by a 28-year-old man collided. The motorcyclist suffered grievous injuries and was taken to hospital.

At 3am on Sunday, an accident occurred on Triq tal-Mensija in San Gwann. A Yamaha moptorcycle ridden by a 52-year-old man from Swieqi and a Nissan Navara driven by a 49-year-old man collided. The motorcyclist was taken to Mater Dei Hospital and was certified as having suffered grievous injuries.

At 5am on Sunday, a traffic accident on Triq il-Buqana was reported in Rabat. A crash between a Keyway Logic motorcycle being ridden by a 65-year-old man from Rabat and a Mercedes Benz driven by a 26-year-old occurred. The 65-year-old man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital and suffered grievous injuries.

Investigations in all cases are ongoing.
