A 54-year-old motorbike rider from Birkirkara was grievously injured in an accident at 11 am on Wednesday.
The accident occurred on the limits of Tal-Balal, Iklin, and involved a Honda motorbike being driven by the 54-year-old man, and a Kie Picanto, driven by a 34-year-old man. The motorbike rider was taken to Mater Dei Hospital.
Investigations are ongoing.
