Two people were injured in separate traffic accidents, the police said.

The first incident occurred at 6pm on Triq Għar Dalam, Birżebbuġa. A 46-year-old Egyptian was hit by a Toyota Auris being driven by a 22-year-old.

The second accident occurred at 7.15pm on Triq Tumas Chetcuti, Attard. A 21-year-old Italian lost control of a motorbike that he was riding and fell.

Both men were taken to Mater Dei Hospital and were certified as having suffered grievous injuries.
