40 new Covid-19 cases registered

40 new Covid-19 cases were registered on Friday.

No more deaths were recorded.

Currently, there are 275 active cases in the country.

Since the start of the pandemic, Malta has had a total of 114,692 Covid cases, of which 113,215 have recovered. A total of 806 people have died with the virus.

The Health Ministry stopped publishing daily bulletins on social media which display details about the pandemic in Malta the day after the March 2022 general election.

Data is still being published by the Health Ministry's COVID-19 Public Health Response Team on an open-source database on the platform GitHub, although certain details, such as the number of positive Covid-19 cases in hospital and details about people who died, are not included in the dataset.
