22 migrants found to be in Malta illegally

Twenty-two migrants were found to be in Malta illegally, the police said in a statement.

It said that this morning inspections related to illegal migration had continued in St Julian’s.

The migrants who were caught without the relative documents were from Algeria, Syria, Tunisia, Gambia, Somalia and Nigeria.

Proceedings will be started against these migrants for their deportation.
