Italian club Inter may be spending a few days in Malta during the World Cup break, Italian media report.

The visit is as yet to be confirmed by the club, but if it happens, it is also likely that Inter will be playing a couple of friendly games against Maltese sides.

With the Serie A taking a break for the World Cup in Qatar, many clubs are seeking to spend a late autumn camp as they prepare for the second part of this anomalous season.

It is the first time in history that the World Cup is taking place in mid-season.

If the visit materialises, Inter will be coming over without the players who will be taking part in the World Cup.
