Albert Buttigieg has taken his oath to become a member of parliament.
Buttigieg was elected into Parliament on Friday through a casual election to fill the seat vacated by the late Robert Arrigo, who passed away the week prior.
Before being appointed, Buttigieg served as the mayor of St.Julian's.
Saying a few words in Parliament on Monday right after taking the oath, he thanked citizens for supporting him, while also thanking his family, MPs and the Nationalist Party. He said he looks forward to working for the benefit of the people.
