Former Nationalist parliamentary secretary Tony Abela died on Tuesday evening, the PN media is reporting. He was 66.
He served as parliamentary secretary between 2003 and 2008, and was responsible for the economy and home affairs.
Abela was born on 14 January 1956, and was educated at St Aloysius College and the University of Malta.
He also served as PN treasurer between 1996 and 1999.
He contested the election for the first time in 1981, and was elected for the first time in 1987.
