Police said on Friday that investigations showed that the cause of the accident was a “slippery material” which was spilt on the road.

Police did not specify what the material was, but there is speculation that the material may have been olives which fell out of a vehicle and were subsequently squashed by passing cars.

Anybody with information about the material can contact the police, even confidentially, on 119 and 21224001 or by going to their nearest police station.
