Remembrance Sunday to be commemorated this weekend

Festivals Malta, through the National Festivities Committee, commemorates the victims of the two World Wars on Sunday, 13 November 2022 on the occasion known as Remembrance Sunday.

For this occasion, a concelebrated mass will be held in St. John’s Co-Cathedral, in Valletta at 9:30 in the morningMass will be led by Archbishop of Malta Monsignor Charles J. Scicluna  and will be broadcast live on TVM.

Before mass, the President of Malta inspects the Guard of Honourwith the participation of the Armed Forces Band.

After mass, at 10:40 in the morning, a commemorative ceremony will be held near the War Memorial, in Floriana. During this ceremony, wreaths will be laid by the highest authorities of the country and other distinguished guests.

The Armed Forces of Malta, together with other organisations, will form a Guard of Honour for the wreath-laying ceremony.
