A man from San Gwann has fallen to his death in Marsa this morning, the police said.

The man, aged 47, fell off the roof of a warehouse in Triq il-Belt il Hazna, near the old power station, at around 9.15am.

He was later identified as Daniel Spiteri.

A police spokesperson said that he was conducting some work on the warehouse roof.

He was certified dead on site.

His son Nathaniel expressed his shock on Facebook and said that Spiteri always worked hard for the family.

Magistrate Charmaine Galea is leading an inquiry.
