A bus taking Manchester United women players to a match at Paola ended up stranded after part of the road collapsed beneath it, Net News reports.

One of the wheels at the back of the vehicle broke ended up in a large pothole as the road gave way.

The Manchester United women’s team is in Malta for a training camp which was to include a friendly encounter against Birkirkara at the Tony Bezzina Stadium.

None of the playetrs were injured, with Man Utd going on to beat Birkirkara 10-0.
