Pictures of what appears to be a dead animal, most probably a dog, have been posted on Facebook on Thursday.
The grim picture was taken in the area known as Kantra Valley, limits of Xlendi.
The animal’s carcass is surrounded by trash.
The person who posted the photo has asked whether the animal had been reported missing.
