A man has fallen to his death in Tarxien this afternoon, the police said.

The man, aged 76, fell one storey off the roof of his residence onto the roof of an adjacent property

The roof of the adjacent property caved in with the impact, with the result that the man fell another storey.

The man was taken to hospital, where he died some time later.

Magistrate Victor Axiaq is leading an inquiry.
